SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) exam are as follows. Nationality: The candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit:
The age limit varies for different posts within SSC CGL. Generally, the minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 32 years.
Age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to certain reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PwD, Ex-servicemen, etc.
Educational Qualification:
The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or institute.
The educational qualification required may vary depending on the specific post applied for within SSC CGL.
