GATE in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) is an entrance exam for postgraduate programs (Masters and Ph.D.) in ECE and related fields. Eligibility requires a Bachelor's degree in ECE or related disciplines. The exam consists of a single paper with two sections: General Aptitude and ECE. The syllabus covers topics like Analog and Digital Circuits, Signals and Systems, Communication Engineering, Control Systems, Electromagnetics, and Electronic Devices. GATE scores are valid for three years, and candidates can apply for M.Tech or Ph.D. programs based on their scores in institutes accepting GATE scores for admissions.
